The River-to-River Trail Society announces its second hike of the spring hiking season in the Thacker Hollow area on Saturday, March 19. This hike is free and open to the public. This will be a hike of about four hours and five and one half miles, and is intended for people in good health who have done some hiking.  Hiking sticks and boots or sturdy shoes are strongly recommended. Hikers should bring their own water and a snack. No dogs, please.

   Hikers should meet at 10:00 a.m. at the pole barn a quarter mile east of Double M Campground. Please do not park on the grass. Double M campground is located at 5320 Thacker Hollow Road, about a mile west of Route 1. For information or directions, call (618) 384-1321.
