Take a look at the trail story he shared with Society and allowed us to share it here.
Congratulations Reese, we added your name to our Honor Roll and thanks for putting together the great trail story.

Great story! I’m a 9 day plus thru hiker, but have no problems but a bit of jealousy with your times!
I was a little puzzled by your long road walk in Makanda, I hope you didn’t follow Makanda road all the way to 51! That is very dangerous with no shoulders and blind curves, The woods between Sheppard road and Rt 51 although private but not posted would have been a good place to spend the night. I mow it a couple times a year around there and the landowners are very friendly.
Sounds like you will do fine once you finally have everything come together for the AT. Come back and tell us when you are going on that adventure! HYOH! -
Great job!! I would love to do this but not by myself. Plus I move slower!! Lol! I admire your gumption. Love to see the sheer happiness you have doing what you love!!

That is pure joy on your face. Bravo
That’s quite impressive! I have asperations of completing the R2R myself, however I am budgeting anywhere from 7-9 days for the trek.
Ever thought about other long trails in the area, such as Sheltowee Trace?
