In anticipation of a installation and dedication ceremony for the John O’Dell monument the Society raised funds for, the Society is asking for anyone that knew John to share their stories, memories, thoughts and tributes about John in the comments on this page. Please keep in mind that the plan is to share these comments in the documentation for the future public dedication ceremony of the monument. Please include at least your name and any other contact information you may want to share with the Society and the O’Dell Family in the comments.

As a reminder, the following picture shows the final monument design . The monument will be erected right along the River to River Trail in Herod IL, on the property of Herod Springs Baptist Church. It was delivered around June 17, 2022 and is currently awaiting installation and dedication.
