2021 Annual Meeting / Picnic

A) When – 11 am, Sat. June 5th,National Trails Day,  at the North shelter, at Vienna City park.  People Can come Earlier, to socialize/meet & greet. 

B) People are “invited”  to bring their own lunch/meals/snacks & drinks, with lawn chairs if they so desire.  The Society is NOT, for this year, providing any sort of meal, food, or drinks.  

C) Speaker, Les Winkler, outdoors writer/columnist for The Southern newspaper,  to talk about the SOIL initiative for 10-15 minutes.  He may involve Shawn Gossman.  He is going to Speak 1st, then he can ‘hang around” afterwards, if he wants, as long as he wants. He might want to get information to do a story in The Southern, about the John O’Dell memorial. 

D) Business meeting, including, but, not limited to the following items:

Election of  officers for 2021-2022;, Treasury report; John O’Dell memorial update, any work projects; anyone wanting to sign up to maintain sections of the River to River Trail, And Any Other business deemed necessary to come before the Society & board at this time.  

E) People Are Encouraged to bring bikes, to use on the Tunnel Hill Trail after the meeting. If there are enough people wanting to bike, 1 group may head North to the Tunnel, a 2nd group may head South to Karnak.
