One of our Board members wanted to recognize this individual for completing a segmented hike of the trail at the young age of 84. During discussions, the Society determined that there really weren’t any options out there for any other hikers of the trail to pursue any type of recognition. The Society also realized that we already had all of the graphics needed to create this award since it is essentially the same as the John O’Dell Monument installed along the trail in 2022.
